Banten, 20 January 2022 - In early 2022, we were shocked by a 6.6-magnitude earthquake in Banten on Friday (14/1/2022) at 16.05 WIB. The epicenter of the earthquake was 52 km southwest of Sumur, Banten, at 7.01 south latitude and 105.26 east longitude with a depth of 10 km.
Although there were no fatalities, BNPB data (on 15/1/2022) indicates that 1,100 houses were damaged, 13 school buildings were moderately damaged, including 14 health facilities, 3 government offices, 4 places of worship and 1 place of business.
Garudafood Sehati through collaboration with an external partner, namely Darut Tauhiid Peduli (DT Peduli) has distributed 600 packs of Gery Saluut Malkist products to the disaster victims. This is one of the ways that we care for others regardless of ethnicity, religion, race and group. Hopefully, the donations can ease the grief and wounds experienced by the victims.
