Gresik, 10 March 2023 - PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk Gresik unit, East Java together with the Gresik District Government, the environmental community (Ecoton & Waduling), the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the River Basin Center (BBWS) and the local Muspika an action to Clean Up the Brantas Watershed (DAS) in commemoration of the 49th anniversary of the Gresik District Government and the 536th anniversary of Gresik City on Friday (10/3/2023).
The river clean-up was initiated by the Environmental Office which was held in Cangkir Village, Driyorejo Sub-District, attended by Aminatun Habibah, the Deputy District Head of Gresik, and attended by 500 participants from various Local Government Working Units (OPD) within the Gresik District Government, company representatives around, yellow troops, students and environmental activists.
The event successfully collected 5 garbage trucks worth of solid waste from the banks of the Brantas Watershed, Cangkir Village, Driyorejo Sub-District. The focus of Gresik District Government this year is on waste management. Waste management is the responsibility of all parties, from upstream to downstream, including sorting and managing waste from home.
