Garudafood Builds Capacity of Entrepreneurial Village Partners (Batch 3)

February 2024 – Garudafood Sehati conducted another round of intensive training and mentoring program or 'Scale-up Batch 3'. This program, which provides a comprehensive four-month training and mentoring for 20 selected individuals, is a significant step towards empowering women. The majority of the participants are women from the Garudafood Entrepreneurial Village 2023 in Tangerang Selatan, Bandung, and Tasikmalaya. In collaboration with PT Sinarniaga Sejahtera (SNS) and Koperasi Pemberdayaan Umat Daruut Tauhid (Kopmu DT), the 'Scale-up Batch 3' program aims to support entrepreneurs demonstrating consistency, high motivation, and ongoing business growth as per Garudafood's rigorous selection criteria.

The program began with a kick-off in December 2023, followed by a series of training sessions provided for all participants, such as offline & online marketing strategy (22/12/2023), copywriting to attract consumers (26/01/2024) by Kopmu DT Peduli, and basic salesmanship (02/02/2024) by the South Tangerang Depo team (Deonisius Prihatno – Branch Head), Mengger Depo (Adhie Utama - Branch Head), Padalarang Depo (Nunung Arif - Branch Head) and Tasikmalaya Depo (Wahyu Ramdani – Branch Head).

The Garudafood Entrepreneurial Village Program is a corporate incubation program that is in line with the company's mission to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition, it also represents a strategic effort to bolster the capacities of ultra-micro entrepreneurs, particularly empowering housewives.

From 2017 to 2023, Garudafood has guided more than 450 local communities across Jabodetabek, West Java, and East Java, with 35 women from the Entrepreneurial Village Program already participating in the 'Scale-up' program. Hopefully the program can continue to grow in the future to enhance the local community's economic welfare.
