Wednesday, 22 December 2021 - The BRIN and Garudafood Board Meeting was held at the BRIN office and was attended by Dr. Laksana Tri Handoko, M.Sc. (Head of BRIN), Nur Tri Aries S, M.A. (Acting Principal Secretary), Dr. Yan Rianto, M. Eng (Acting Deputy for Research and Innovation Infrastructure and Dr. Mego Pinandhito, M.Eng. (Acting Deputy for Research and Innovation Utilization) and staff accompanied by Sudhamek AWS (Secretary of the BRIN Steering Committee). Representing Garudafood, the meeting was also attended by Hardianto Atmadja (President Director), Mr. Fransiskus Johny (CEO) and other members of the Board of Directors.
On this occasion, the two parties explored a number of potential strategic cooperation ideas, such as research and development (R&D) and innovations for Garudafood's supply chain, such as the supply of locally-based raw material, technology in the form of machinery and efficiency in the production process to further improve productivity and quality.
The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is a government agency under and reporting to the president who carries out research, development, assessment and implementation as well as integrated investment and innovation. On 28 April 2021, BRIN became an autonomous body after previously being an agency under the Ministry of Research and Technology in 2019.
