South Tangerang, 27 March 2024 – PT Garuda Beverage Sukses (Garuda Beverage) has distributed more than IDR 200 million in scholarships and assistance in the form of 1,000 pairs of school shoes to elementary and junior high school children in Java. The Okky Jelly Drink brand initiated the donation of 1,000 pairs of shoes, which is part of the "Ramadhan Berbagi Garudafood" program leading toward the holy month of Ramadan 1445 H.
Partnering with Sekolah Relawan, the assistance was symbolically handover by Fransiskus Johny Soegiarto (President Director of Garuda Beverage and Director of Garudafood) accompanied by Sugeng Suharyono (Commercial Director of Garuda Beverage) to 40 children (as representatives) at Yayasan Cinta Yatim dan Dhuafa, South Tangerang, Banten.
Fransiskus Johny Sogiarto said that the beneficiaries of the donation and scholarships prioritize underprivileged children who have been verified and are located in the operational areas of Garuda Beverage and Garudafood.
"The donation and scholarship are part of Garuda Beverage's commitment to supporting the sustainable business carried out by Garudafood. Scholarships were provided in more than 50 locations in Java in collaboration with Sekolah Relawan by prioritizing school-age children in need as target beneficiaries," added Fransiskus Johny.
On the same occasion, the participants were also treated to storytelling with the Ramadan theme and fun games through collaboration with Kampung Dongeng Indonesia.
