Gresik, 30 November 2023 – PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk - Gresik unit conducted sharing sessions and mapping of entrepreneurship training, such as art & craft skill training for making creations from industrial waste as well as learning about aquaculture in buckets for persons with disabilities in collaboration with the Persatuan Penyandang Disabilitas Indonesia (PPDI) Gresik and the Gresik Manpower Office (Disnaker). This reflects Garudafood's commitment and support in fulfilling the rights of persons with disabilities in the fields of education and humanity.
From 2019 to date, Garudafood has contributed by providing entrepreneurship training to persons with disabilities, especially in making crafts from waste plastic packaging rolls from Garudafood products into pencil cases, tissue holders, lanterns, and other products, as well as helping to market the products to provide an additional source of income for the trainees.
