Sudhamek AWS and Hardianto Atmadja Strengthen the Management of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) National Leadership Council

Jakarta, 2 August 2023 - Hardianto Atmadja, President Director of PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk, was officially appointed as the Chair of Standardization and Consumer Protection for Trade, and Sudhamek AWS was appointed as Deputy Chair of the Advisory Council for the period of 2023-2028.
 

The inauguration of the Management of APINDO's National Leadership Council was held at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Kempinski, Jakarta on Monday 31 July 2023, and was also attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.

The event has four priority agendas to respond to Indonesia's growth challenges.

1.    Strengthening employment;

2.    Empowering MSMEs which absorb 97 percent of Indonesia's workforce;

3.    Increasing investment to accelerate industrial transformation; and

4.    Updating the national economy

 

For 71 years, APINDO has played the role of the Indonesian employers' organization, serving as a forum for consolidating the interests of the business sector and as an extension of the entrepreneurs' voice in providing input to the Government.

The inauguration of the management for 2023-2028 symbolizes a NEW GENERATION of APINDO's leadership.

The new generation of APINDO represents the philosophy of diversity so APINDO becomes an inclusive organization with increasing impact, consisting of cross-generational leaders from leading sectors of Indonesia's business sector.

APINDO's new management will continue to partner with the government in formulating policies to support the acceleration of economic transformation, creating employment opportunities through increased investment in preparing a skilled, educated, and competitive workforce.

Ms. Shinta W Kamdani as the elected Chairwoman of APINDO said that APINDO is committed to continuing its collaboration to accelerate Indonesia's economic growth. Similar to the palapa oath that unites the archipelago, the Indonesian Employers Association vows to unite its energy and efforts to advance the nation.
