The official BPOM website defines SMKPO as a system that is prepared and developed to guarantee the safety and quality of processed food through independent risk-based supervision. The SMKPO certification symbolizes Garudafood's commitment and dedication, through SNS, to maintain the quality of food and beverage products along the food distribution chain, so the processed food consumed by the public remains safe and of good quality.

Upon receiving the SMKPO Certification, Garudafood, through SNS, has fulfilled BPOM's commitment or implementation standards in receiving, storing, displaying, distributing, transporting, and/or dispensing processed food products.

By the end of 2023, 50% of SNS depots will be SMKPO certified and the process will continue to gradually meet the target of 100% certified depots
