Garudafood Wins Three Platinum and One Gold Medal at TKMPN 2023

Yogyakarta, 30 November 2023 - Nearing the end of 2023, PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk successfully got 4 awards at a prestigious national level event, the National Quality & Productivity Work Gathering (TKMPN) XXVII 2023, which was held at The Alana Yogyakarta Hotel & Convention Center on 27 – 30 November 2023 with the theme “Superior Generation through Green Innovation and Productivity”.

The event was attended by various businesses or industries ranging from fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, cement, automotive, mining, manufacturing, health, goods industry, universities, finance, and other services. The work gathering was attended by professionals and was designed to serve as a platform to produce the best improvements and innovations.

On this occasion, Garudafood sent its best team for the SGA (Small Group Activity) & SS (Suggestion System) categories and successfully won 3 Platinum Medals and 1 Gold Medal. The award winners were:

  1. SGA Enjoy – Pati Factory (Platinum)
  2. SGA One Circular Economy (OCE) – Sumedang Factory (Platinum)
  3. SS Wasis & Yossy – Gresik Factory (Platinum)
  4. SS Edi Widodo – Sumedang Factory (Gold)

SS Wasis & Yossy is a new milestone for the GF team because, for the first time, they were able to win a Platinum medal in the SS category.

TKMPN XXVII serves as a platform to share best practices and competition for innovators who collaborate with the Indonesian Quality and Productivity Management Association (IQPMA) and are supported by the Ministry of Manpower and the Ministry of Industry. As the largest national innovation event, it was attended by more than 2,309 participants from 184 large-scale companies in Indonesia divided into 557 teams in the National category for quality management and work productivity. TKMPN is very useful for gaining inspiration for innovation and management of the latest quality management systems in building a quality & productivity culture.

In this case, Garudafood utilizes TKMPN as an opportunity to learn and gain insight on the improvement and innovation in other companies, the type of improvement or innovation produced, the methodology and tools used, and how other companies manage their continuous improvement. Upon returning from TKMPN, the team will be asked to conduct sharing sessions and create an action plan from the insights obtained to then implement it in their respective workplaces.
