Jakarta, 14 December 2022 - PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk won the "HALAL Indonesia Awards" as the first large-scale halal certificate recipient at the Indonesian Halal Festival (FHI) at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory, Jakarta, Wednesday (14 /12/2022).
The award was given by the Chairman of the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH), Muhammad Aqil Irham to Teti Herawati, Food Regulatory Manager who represented Garudafood to receive the award. The event was also attended by the Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, Chairman of Commission VIII DPR RI, Dr. H. Ashabul Kahfi, M.Ag. and ambassadors of various countries, such as Thailand, European Union, Argentina, Australia, United States, Spain, United Kingdom, France, Canada, Switzerland, India, and Denmark.
To commemorate its 5th anniversary, BPJPH held the Indonesian Halal Festival to support and play an active role in developing the halal ecosystem in Indonesia. BPJPH is a supporting element in the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, which is under and reports to the Minister of Religious Affairs. whose duty is to carry out halal product assurance in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Through its implementation, Garudafood has obtained halal certificates for all of its products and guarantees that all raw materials are safe, hygienic and halal, and traceable.
