Jakarta, 31 August 2023 - PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk (Garudafood) as a leading food and beverage company in Indonesia awarded 'Scholarships for Underprivileged Children’ through the National Movement for Foster Parents (GNOTA) on Thursday, 31 August 2023 at Garudafood Head Office, South Jakarta.
The donations were in the form of school supplies packages (uniforms, shoes, bags, and stationery). The scholarships were distributed to 4 locations, i.e. Garudafood Head Office and three Garudafood business units in Pati – Central Java, Gresik – East Java, and Sumedang – West Java.
This was initiated by Garudafood Group employees and facilitated by the Company to commemorate Garudafood's 33rd anniversary, PT Sinarniaga Sejahtera (SNS) (Garudafood distributor) 29th anniversary and the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. This is also a way for us to care for others and strengthen friendships and a culture of always being grateful.
In addition to providing scholarships for foster children in the company’s surrounding area, Garudafood also gave scholarships to 135 children of employees showing good performance, the scholarships were given for primary school (SD) to high school (SMA). In addition, 1,300 cartons of Garudafood products were distributed to communities in need through external partners, i.e. Daarut Tauhid (DT) Peduli, Sekolah Relawan, Food Cycle, Griya Yatim Dhuafa, Yayasan Indonesia Hijau, Yayasan Padi Indonesia, Sekolah Master, Rumah Zakat, Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) and other partners.
