Garudafood Provides Advanced Healing Trauma Therapy for Palu Earthquake Disaster Victims

10 - 13 January 2019 - An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 SR has rocked Palu and Donggala on September 28th, 2018, at 18.02 WITA. The natural disasters that occurred during the 3-7 minutes were followed by a 5 M tsunami that hit the west coast of Central Sulawesi. Thousands of people were victims of this disaster and until now the affected communities still occupy refugee camps due to totally destroyed houses.





GarudaFood Sehati together with the Indonesian SNS Team and Kampung Dongeng held Trauma Healing activities for the victims of the Palu Earthquake. After previously it was held on December 19-21, 2018 in 10 points of evacuation, that are: Jl Thamrin Post, Petobo Integrated Camp, Madan Golf Course / GOR Post, Baiya Post, Tawaeli, Layana Integrated Camp (Dupa), Evacuation in the Great Mosque, Evacuation in Duyu, Balaroa Integrated Camp, Tipo 1 Post and Gawalise Tipo Command Post. 





In the second session this activity was held on January 10-13, 2019 in the next 10 refugee points: Mpanau Village, Pombewe 1 Village, Lolu Village (Jono), Sidera Village, Sidera Atas Village, Lolu ACT (Regional Command Post), Potoyo Village, Langaleso , South Sibalaya Village and Beka Village (Marawola District).





The target of this activity is the children of the Palu Earthquake Victims with a total beneficiary of 4,000 children.

This activity is one form of corporate responsibility towards the community, Garudafood Sehati hopes that this activity can reduce prolonged trauma for children victims of the earthquake and tsunami disaster so that they can return to cheerful and active activities.
