Jakarta, 1 December 2023 – PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Gresik unit successfully won the 2023 Paramakarya Productivity Award at the 2023 Naker Award Ceremony held by the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia at Balai Sarbini, South Jakarta. The Naker Award 2023 is a form of government appreciation for Governors and Companies who have given the best contribution in the field of employment, especially during the recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Paramakarya Productivity Award was given by K.H Ma'ruf Amin, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, and Ida Fauziyah, Minister of Manpower, to Patric Mamahit, Business Unit Head Gresik along with representatives from 49 other companies, including PT Pos Indonesia (Persero), PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul, CV Sinar Jaya Plastindo, and CV Sepiak Belitong. This award was given to companies that have demonstrated their success in implementing the concepts of productivity and quality in their business for three consecutive years.
During the event, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia also shared a number of strategies to overcome various issues, especially increasing labor productivity for successful human resources development which is based on good collaboration between the government, companies, and workers, and emphasized how important it is for employers to consistently guarantee employees' rights, while supporting efforts to achieve the development priorities.
The Vice President also emphasized to all business players to always encourage the development of employees' competencies and careers, as well as the optimization of technology. This includes prioritizing the principle of inclusivity, including providing a fair work environment and opportunities for women and persons with disabilities, as well as priority recruitment of local workers.
The day before, on 30 November 2023, the Garudafood Gresik unit also received the 2023 CSR Award at the Aston Gresik Hotel, East Java during the Top CSR Award 2023 On Star 2 category which was given by H. Fandi Akhmad Yani, S.E., District Head of Gresik, and Dra. Hj. Aminatun Habibah, M.Pd, Deputy District Head of Gresik, and was attended by more than 50 large-scale companies from the Gresik District. This award is given to companies that have consistently reported their CSR activities to the Gresik District Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda).
